What's new

New features and improvements in SplitPay.

  1. Improved

    A cleaner "Continue" list

Events already shown under "Your groups" no longer appear twice in "Continue," and protected events now show a shield. You can tell at a glance which ones are protected—even when signed out.

  2. Improved

    A tidier event screen

Share, protect, and delete now live in a "⋯" menu next to the title, and the notification prompt slides up gently from the bottom. A green badge shows protection at a glance, and protected events can be deleted right there after a quick confirmation.

  3. Improved

    Faster to log a payment

When you're signed in and linked to a participant, you're pre-selected as the payer. Picking who paid is now a row of tappable buttons. If you stay anonymous, nothing changes.

  4. New

    Delete events

You can now permanently delete an event you no longer need (along with its members, payments and settlements — this can't be undone). For protected events, only the owner can delete.

  5. Improved

    See more under Continue

The home "Continue" list now shows the latest 3 for a cleaner view, with a "Show more" option to reveal your past events. It also keeps more history.

  6. Fixed

Fixed a blank screen on reopen

Fixed an issue where the app could show a blank screen when reopened after a while. It now recovers automatically by updating to the latest version.

  7. New

    Notification center

A bell in the header now shows your latest updates (like join requests to protected events). When you're signed in, unread items are visible from any screen.

  8. NewImproved

Edit member names & link your account

You can now rename members inline. When you're signed in, creating an event adds you as a member automatically, and on protected events you can link yourself with "This is me." Anonymous use is unchanged.

  9. Fixed

    Smoother sign-in and sign-up

Fixed an issue where signing up from a protected page didn't navigate correctly, and made switching between sign-in and sign-up a single tap. You're returned to where you left off after signing in.

  10. Improved

    Analytics, redesigned

On top of the monthly spending trend, you can now tap any payer to expand their itemized spending for that month — see who spent what at a glance.

  11. Improved

A home dashboard when signed in

Sign in to land on a dashboard that takes you straight back to your past events and settings. Staying anonymous still works exactly as before.

  12. New

    Protect and invite (optional sign-in)

Anonymous URLs still work as before. When you need it, you can now protect an event and invite members or approve join requests.

  13. Improved

    Guides, easier to read

Articles are now grouped by category, with a table of contents, reading time, and last-updated date so you find what you need fast.

  14. New

    Scene-based split calculators

Quick calculators for splitting costs by scene — trips, dinners, and more — right when you need them.
